DUKE RUNS OFF WITH CROSS COUNTRY POINT
Duke captured the one Carlyle Cup point in the ACC Cross Country Championships Saturday in Atlanta by virtue of finishing ahead of UNC in both the men's and women's competition.

The Blue Devil runners were second in the men's division with 69 points, far ahead of the Tar Heel men at 187. Duke's women finished fourth with 81 points and edged UNC, which had 88.

Carolina's Shalane Flanagan won the women's 6K with a time of 20:06.3, 12 seconds ahead of second-place finisher, Florida State's Vicky Gill. The individual title was Flanagan's third straight.
