UNC Names Five "TAG" Fall Nominees
Five UNC athletes are the fall nominees for the 2001-2002 TAGHeuer Trophy, awarded each year to the Most Outstanding Athlete in the Carlyle Cup competition between Carolina and Duke.

Freshman Kerry Falgowski, of Landenberg, Penn., scored a total of five goals in the two field hockey match-ups with Duke, a 5-0 win when she led the team with two goals and a 3-1 victory when she scored all three goals and notched UNC's only hat trick of the season.

In the two volleyball matches with Duke, Laura Greene, a junior from Yadkinville, N.C., totaled 31 kills and 37 digs in leading UNC to a sweep in the ACC regular season.

Logan Pause was expected to miss the men’s soccer season following knee surgery, but the sophomore from Hillsborough, N.C., returned to the field less than midway through the season. In his first-game back, he scored the game-winner in a 1-0 win over Duke.

In women's Soccer, Elizabeth Ball, a sophomore from Dallas, scored two goals and had one assist in UNC's 3-1 victory over Duke.

Senior Ronald Curry, of Hampton, Va., passed for 217 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another score in the 52-17 win over Duke, Carolina’s 12th straight football victory in the series.
